- In the 1920's, Music video's were experimented. At this time, music video's weren't popular so in order to see how they worked they experimented to see what they should do in order to draw in an audience and link the video's to the music.
- By the mid 80's, there had to be music video's with songs in order for them to be shown on TV. If there was no video, the song would not be featured.
- Making music videos has become increasingly expensive as the years progress. Back when music video's were first made, they only cost around $2000, whereas now, they are costing millions, something around $2,000,000 because of the equipment and lighting that is being used.
- In order to make a good music video, image is important. If an artist looks good, they can make a good video which people will watch.
- Music and music video's are aimed at 16-34 year old as they are the audience that have a disposable income who can afford to buy whatever they like. This age group are also easy to aim a video towards.
- Manufactured bands are the ones who bring in the large audience as they are made to fit in with a specific audience out there and to bring in more money.
- In 1984, the MTV Music Awards started. This meant that artists or bands got awards for the best songs, best video's and best newcomer etc.
